1 hour.

It honestly took me all of 1 hour to model this character. Less than an hour, actually. Grimace also only took about an hour. Birdie and Hamburgler were all day affairs, but this one and Grimace were only 1 hour. And to be fair I was making these designs from an existing design, and I wasn’t coming up with them myself, but still, these are very, very simple designs. And yet McDonalds approved of these for a nationwide campaign.

Hey, McDonalds, next time, can I do your toys? Let’s collab on PrintABlok or Chibimals or something. Imagine, the first 3D printed happy meal toys! It could be huge.

As would my print farm have to be to meet that level of demand.

I’m heading to the LA Makerfair this weekend. I hear Bill Nye is going to be there! If you’re in or around the LA area, stop by and say hi!
