I said earlier that this project wouldn’t have been the same without Kickstarter. The incubation period has allowed for develoment of this idea to a high degree of maturity. And when I released the base blocks to the public, there was no doubt in my mind that they worked. I’d tried them on good printers, I tried them on crappy printers, and I’d given the files to select individuals who had seen much success with them.
But then there’s the pivot blok. This one little edge case that kinda worked, sometime, usually, kinda, mostly, but sometimes didn’t. And then A whole set of them didn’t work, and I suddenly had to look closer at why.
Honestly, I think I know what I have to do. It means I’m going to be working all day long modifiying all 121 bloks I’ve released so far before releasing a few more. And I’ve got to hurry, because the end of the kickstarter is… tomorrow morning.
And if you’re asking if Blender doesn’t have some system where you can just change one object and have it change all the others… it does. I just didn’t use it. But I’m gonna use it now!
I hope you’re planning on joining me to send this amazing kickstarter off. I’ll be livestreaming the last few minutes of the kickstarter before talking about what’s next. It’ll be a good time. I hope to see you there.
