Why aren’t 3D printed homes more common video

Watch on YouTube

In the same week that I throw all attempts at making brief videos out the window, I follow that up with a 5 minute video to answer a single question. This video took… well, it took nearly 30 minutes with all the retakes I needed to do to get it right in one take, but that’s it. No editing, no sweetening the audio or video. No text overlays or adjusting the zoom to keep things interesting. Just in, out, and question answered. The cost of doing so was so small that I very much doubt I won’t do this again some time. In fact I’ve already decided on what the next 2 are going to be.

My recording setup is getting a bit of a shakeup. It’s more open, which lends itself more to making. But now the angles for filming are all off and I’ve got to figure out where the lights are going all over again. There’s always the part on camera, and the part not on camera. Basically, with this rearranging, I’ve got everything backwards. And I really should fix it, but it’s looking really good for streaming, so I’m going to have to get really creative to make this all work.

The biggest thing I was checking on this setup was the Rode mic. Would it work? Would it sound good? I think, dispite it not having a proper stand yet, it worked very well. No hissing or background noise, and my voice came through good, if a little quiet. I may need to give it some boost, but that’s just a matter of settings. What do you think? Does the audio sound good?
