Last night I was recording this week’s video, and just as I’m copying the source to my computer for editing I see a tweet from my buddy Jimmy Shaw that he and Calvin Witt were live streaming. I almost never catch these things while they’re happening, so I jump on, just planning on hitting chat while I edit my video, and instead Jimmy pulls me for an internet reunion.
We talked initially reminisced about Bay Area Makerfair 2018 and discussed dream plans for future makerfairs. Eventually I show off a little bit of designing color for 3D printing, including a discussion about how to do full color if you have single nozzle, multi material, or types of 3D printer. I show off some tinkercad techniques, discuss the state of the Davinci Color (not good ATM), a little update to on the makershed (just starting) and the future of makerspaces and libraries. It was a great time.
I really need to get better internet at my home, though.
