Download and install 3D Builder now before it’s gone:

Why has the best 3D printing tool ever been removed from the Microsoft store?
Microsoft apparently has an on-again, off-again relationship with 3D printing. At one point they were trying to make 3D printing as easy as 2D printing, and then they’re buying up great tools like Netfabb. And while, at first, they kept Netfabb’s cloud service up for everyone, eventually they walled it behind a Microsoft account before shutting it off entirely. Then they folded it into 3D Builder and Autodesk Fusion, and now this. And it’s not like Microsoft is making this so only they can use it, they’re just shutting it down.
I can’t tell if this is a part of Microsoft’s grand scheme to build up or tear down or if it’s just gross global incompetence, but I’m not happy about it.
Now, full disclosure, there is another place you can get the original NetFabb. It has been backed up on GitHub. Now, I don’t know how well that works these days, I suppose I should download it and try. But I still resent Microsoft for making me go this route.
