If you want to 3D print off the grid, which 3D printer will be the best for it? In this video I test the Creality K1, Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro, Creality Ender 3, Qidi X-Smart S, BambuLabs Carbon X1, P1S and A1 Mini to find out which one uses the least battery.
I think if I were in an actual survival situation, the Carbon X1 would absolutely be my choice. It’s simply one of the most resilient 3D printers I’ve ever encountered. However, for just a camping trip or a convention, I might go with the Qidi X-Smart 3.
This video was a lot more work than my usual efforts. The testing itself wasn’t hard work at the time, just time consuming. Heck, I got a haircut part way through. But putting it all together in the edit was a lot of work. It wasn’t bad, though, because it was all well organized. Though the animated illustration of my maker cart project was a lot of work. Timing animations is always a challenge. But I’m pleased with the result. I did notice that a lot of the footage I recorded wasn’t properly framed. Gonna have to work on that.
However, it’s the high effort videos that don’t usually do as well. But even if this one doesn’t do well, it gave me information that I wanted, and that’s all that matters.
