Just to be 100% transparent about things, I’m not getting paid to say what I said. I hope that’s clear. I’m giving you the absolute truth about this machine; the good and the bad. Yes, I’m getting to keep the printer (they wouldn’t want this one back anyways), but JGMaker has absolutely no editorial control. I want to make that clear because I’m afraid a review like this one might read as my trying to garner favor. But my responsibility, as it always is, is to the viewer, not to the manufacturer. I will always tell the truth about my experience, regardless of what it might do to my relationship with them.
I had a lot of fun making this video. I also had a lot of fun editing it. There were scenes I wanted to do that had to be cut, like me getting a ladder, climbing on my roof, and shouting praises about this machine. It was mostly cut because I had to bang this video out and get it edited and out to you soon as possible. But still, I felt this video had a lot of whimsy to it, and over all I’m happy with it. The one thing I wish was better about this video is I wish I could have been a little more brief.
I had to bang this video out as fast as I could because I refuse upload on a the Sabbath. Of course a late Saturday upload means most of you will be watching it on the Sabbath, but that’s different. Watching my videos should be work for you. At least I hope it’s not.
Still, despite the length, I ain’t letting YouTube put any midroll ads in it. You see a midroll ad in this thing, you let me know. No midroll ads, YouTube! Midrolls are ruining YouTube. At this point if I judge my willingness to watch a video against my willingness to sit through 2 unskippable midroll ads.
So instead of watching as much YouTube as I usually do, this week I hit up Archive.org and started watching old Halloween movies. Did you know archive.org has some awesome old movies? This week I watched “Lady Frankenstein” and was kinda impressed. I didn’t know spaghetti horror was a thing. I also watched the “Cabinet of Dr. Caligari” and “Swing you Sinners“. Archive.org is still a bit wild west, so I don’t recommend letting the kids run around unchecked. But at least it doesn’t have midroll ads.
