3D Printing a Chess set modeled in 10 minutes

I have gotten better at pronouncing Imphenzia since recording that video. I have also learned that his name is actually Stefan, which I assume is spelled with an ‘f’ because he’s from Sweden, but I’ve never seen it spelled.

You may be wondering why the model in Blender is purple. That’s because Stefan didn’t sent me the texture he used. He uses a rather interesting modeling technique of just moving the textures around a color swatch to color it. That works great for video games, but less well for dividing a part up for multi-material 3D printing.

You may also be wondering if my problems with the print are filament based. It’s not. I went back to the brown and granite that did work and it failed the same way. Something’s definitely wrong with my dual nozzle.

I’m in that place where editing a video is a burden. So the educational videos that I’ll be producing will be pretty one-shot-no-edits, and I hope you don’t mind. It’ll also be easy to follow along with. Hopefully that means we’ll all learn and grow together.
