It took 2 hours to make the boar head and I’m guessing it took as long to make the rest of them. Probably more for the elk. Don’t know why I mention that. I just want it documented somewhere how long it takes to do this sort of work, not that I didn’t love every minute of it.
The gang’s all together. A few more models for obstacles and it’ll be time to start the Kickstarter content. But at this point I have enough to generate the majority of the game tokens.
Behold a might army. They won’t go uncontested for long, I’m printing their opponents today. It was rather fun rolling marbles at them to knock them down (archer/wizard attack). They fall rather satisfyingly.
Now that I know how long it takes to print a whole army I have some metrics for my kickstarter. It takes about 24 hours to make 2 armies of 30 pawns, 3 soldiers and 3 archers each and 16 heads to share. I’m sure it will be different whatever printer I chose for the farm, but each printer is a multiplier on my production. So it’s easy to say I need a new 3d printer every X orders I get once I figure out what a reasonable lead time is.
