This week’s video I wanted to show off a new technique I found for making lithophane’s in Blender that’s so easy I will never do it any other way again. I used to do them a different way in the past, but this is so much better. And versatile. I have so many project ideas that I’m going to do with this technique. I think I’ve got Christmas covered this year.
I forgot to mention in this video that you have to choose the right material and you may need to do some experimentation. 0.5mm + 2mm works for white or tan opaque filaments, but if you’re using something darker or more transparent you may need to experiment a little bit. I can offer no guarantee, but I would love to hear the result of any experiments.
